The 8th annual Bernard/Ebb Songwriting Awards will be returning on April 21, 2023

This competition is open to all D.C./Maryland/Virginia songwriters. The deadline to apply is Friday, December 9, 2022. We are hoping that you would help us promote and encourage those in your network to participate in this year’s competition. Application: https://www.bethesda.org/arts-and-entertainment/bernard-ebb-songwriting-awards One talented songwriter will win a $10,000 Grand Prize. The competition also has a young songwriter category for songwriters who are younger than 18. A $2,500 Prize will be awarded to a young musician in that group. Applicants must be permanent, full-time residents of Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Each song must have lyrics. The maximum song length is 4:30min. Please see the application for additional eligibility requirements. The adjudicated competition with culminate with a live concert on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Blues & Jazz Club in Bethesda, MD.
